5 Day 4 Night Safari  is the best safari to discover Rufiji River by boat safari, view Hippos and Crocodiles in Selous Game Reserve, Giraffes,Buffaloes and many more in Mikumi National Park.

ITINERARY DETAILS

DAY 1:  DAR ES SALAAM TO SELOUS GAME RESERVE

Pick up from your hotel in Dar es salaam from the Hotel drive to Selous its about 5 – 6 hours,arrive for game viewing, evening boat safari along Rufiji River which its take 1hour and half, dinner and overnight at the chosen Camp.

DAY 2 AND 3: WALKING ON FOOT

Will have 2 full days in the Selous Game Reserve while exploring the Reserve. The Selous, famous for its elephants, was originally set aside as a hunting area where animals are abundant but many are shy than the Northern Circuit Parks.
Walking safari will give a particularly intimate feel for the African wilds, while excursions by Land rover will permit to have good photographic opportunities and the chance to explore different sections of the vast park. Discover the Rufiji River by boat, and encounter Hippos and Crocodiles in good numbers. Some 350 Birds species have been recorded in the Selous Game Reserve. These are typical of Miombo woodland, and the bird life supported by Rufiji swamplands is of particular interest. Stay at the same selected camp

DAY 4: TRANSFER TO MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK

In the morning departure to Mikumi National Park while crossing the Northern Selous. There is a rich variety bird species as well as large numbers of Giraffes, Buffaloes and Elephants and close to the water holes also Lions and Leopards. Furthermore you can see Zebras, Lions, Wild dogs, Pythons, Hartebeest, Wildebeest, Elephants, Impala, Warthog, Eland and Antelop. Several observation towers enable you to overview the park in its entirety.

DAY 5: LAST DAY TOUR AND TRANSFER
In this day you wake up early morning game drives through the Park. It is nice to do early morning game drive as you have chance to see animals when are active before the heat of the day,it has good light for taking pictures also may see a hunt although is not guaranteed.After breakfast, return to Dar es salaam City.
